Wonki – Do the world a flavour

Misshapen but just-as-delicious seasonal produce destined for the waste heap, turned into flavour-filled alcoholic drinks that are good for the planet and parties alike.

Founded by 3 Monash University Students in 2023 to reduce food waste, Shadowboxer collaborated with Wonki to design a brand that celebrates the wonkiness of fruit that cannot be sold to consumers but can be sipped deliciously.
Joining the team after the initial brand design, I led the concept and execution of 2 new flavours, a brand campaign, and various marketing assets (such as stall designs for exhibitions, shipping boxes, in-store marketing materials, and keg designs), overseeing a midweight Designer.

Over the last two years, Wonki have gone from strength to strength and can now be found at BWS, Dan Murphy's and Independent retailers. They have released three flavours saving misshapen fruit and are in the process of releasing their fourth this winter.

Wonki have been recognised for their impact at the Good Design Awards in 2024. Winning Gold in the Next Gen category.
